Best Places to Watch Skylore — The Rainbow Serpent

A swarm of coordinated drones will once again take to the sky over the Brisbane River in a breathtaking and poetic display.

Back by popular demand and following the huge success of last year’s Nieergoo: Spirit of the Whale, Brisbane Festival’s three-dimensional multicolour drone show returns for another glittering spectacular. This year’s iteration is Skylore — The Rainbow Serpent. The display will tell the First Nations creation story for Brisbane River as told by Traditional Owner and Tribal Experiences Managing Director Shannon Ruska. The larger-than-life spectacle is not to be missed!

The best views of the choreographed drone performance will be around the South Bank and Queen’s Wharf areas. The gateway to the wonder of Festival, ANZ Festival Garden is the perfect place to experience Skylore — The Rainbow Serpent. Across the river, The Star Brisbane will also be an ideal location to see 400 drones dazzle over Brisbane’s iconic skyline.

The drone show is a testament to the fast-growing capabilities of the technology sector. Brisbane Festival Sponsor Yurika understands that sustainability is a key part of Australia’s energy future. Yurika draws upon 100+ years of experience in generation, transmission, and distribution power systems to work towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future. Experience Skylore — The Rainbow Serpent in a celebration of Brisbane and a showcase of our bright future.
