The city’s favourite event, Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust ignites Brisbane Festival 2024 with one of the most electrifying displays in Australia for an unforgettable night of community celebrations.

Fired by Foti Fireworks from Brisbane’s bridges, barges and city rooftops, crowds can tune into Triple M’s live broadcast or Channel 9’s exclusive television coverage as Brisbane’s iconic skyline comes to life. Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust will be viewable in many parts of Brisbane. The best views will be along the Brisbane River near the Story Bridge and at high points. Here are a few more great spots to experience this iconic night:

Offers breathtaking, elevated views of the fireworks, making it one of the most popular spots for a panoramic experience over the Brisbane River.

A classic spot with a beautiful riverside setting. You can enhance your experience by attending Lightscape from 5.45pm to 8.00pm. Additionally, why not take a free guided tour of the City Botanic Gardens in the afternoon before settling down on Bunya Walk to enjoy the fireworks?

#Road, Bridge and River Closures

On Saturday 31 August there will be various closures as part of Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust. Pedestrians should be aware that several bridges in the area will be closed during the fireworks. Victoria Bridge will remain open to pedestrians during the fireworks for crossing only. Victoria Bridge is not a viewing location for the fireworks. The following bridges will be closed to pedestrians: Goodwill Bridge 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Neville Bonner Bridge 4:00pm - 10:00pm, Story Bridge 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Further restrictions may be in place.
