ABOUT SANTOS CITY OF LIGHTS

An exciting event for Brisbane Festival 2011, Santos City of Lights is the first laser light show of its kind in Australia.

Santos City of Lights will fill the space between Kurilpa and Goodwill Bridges with a nightly choreographed spectacle of lasers and lights that can be seen across the city.

Every night during the three weeks of Brisbane Festival, the main viewing area at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt will be buzzing with festival atmosphere, food and beverage outlets and will be home to Santos Lounge and various unique art installations.

The creatives behind this major project are internationally acclaimed Australian lighting designer, John Rayment, who created the lighting for the Sydney Olympic’ opening and closing ceremonies and creative director, Tony Assness, whose past work includes the 75th Anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the design of 360 for Sydney Dance Company. Laser and Water Design by Glenn Turner and Tara W Cox, Oracle Attractions.

This extraordinary spectrum of lights and lasers will radiate from roof tops, the river and bridges and is set against dramatic musical scores.

Santos City of Lights is a free event and gives people the opportunity to see Brisbane with a fresh perspective.
